About Jon Wade
Jon lived in Eagle Ridge for 2 1/2 years and his family has owned a place since 2001, so he has seen Eagle Ridge built from the ground up and knows it intimately. He’s also friends with the majority of owners at Eagle Ridge.
Jon has always believed that taking care of others means you will never have to worry about yourself.
As a partner with Colorado Group Realty here in Steamboat Springs, technically he “sells” real estate. He prefers to advise people on the best way to meet their goals and how market conditions might shape their decisions. People tell him that they appreciate his straightforward approach, efforts to give them the data and insights they need to understand the market and what is happening going forward. He will make sure to provide the investment drivers and the trade-offs people need in order to make a good decision.
After graduating from college Jon worked for Hewlett Packard out of Boulder, Northern Colorado and worldwide for 15 years. He has expertise in Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Product Development Financial analysis and Corporate strategy. He brings a relaxed but professional attitude to his work backed up by years of high level experience and negotiations in the real world. With each new client, he believes it is best to understand their goals first, educate them about the broader market, upcoming changes and how that may influence their choices. He works very hard to provide relevant information, insights and go the extra mile to help however possible.
He is very lucky to be happily married and living the dream many of us share in Steamboat Springs. Jon and Wendy have 2 wonderful children, Alden and Neve which means snow in Italian. They moved to Steamboat because they always wanted to but as time has passed they realize the best reason to be here is that their kids can have the chance to grow up here.
Life keeps the Wades pretty busy but they always find time to ski, snowshoe, mountain bike, hike, fly-fish, water-ski, play hockey, hunt and spend time with our friends in the paradise we call home. Jon was born in St. Joseph, MI and came out for college at the University of Colorado. At CU, Jon and a few friends took over the Ski Club and built it into the largest college ski club in the country (from 500 to over 3,500 members). They raised over $35K per year in major corporate sponsorships outside of the ski industry and used them to put on a series of ski events around the state. Jon was fortunate to ski countless days all over Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana but Steamboat always felt like home. If you would like advice on the best way to spend more time in Steamboat Springs, just let Jon know.
